Hat Care
General Hat Care
Store your hat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and distortion.
Keep your hat on a flat surface or a proper hat stand to maintain its shape.
Avoid excessive moisture—while felt hats can handle light mist, heavy rain or snow can cause shrinkage or warping. If wet, allow your hat to air-dry naturally.
Cleaning Your Hat
Use a soft-bristled brush or dry hat sponge to gently sweep away dust in a circular motion. Tougher stains can at times be treated with a fine grit sandpaper.
A lint roller can remove lint and pet hair without damaging the fibers.
Shaping & Reshaping
Light wrinkles or misshaping can be fixed with steam. Carefully hold your hat over a tea kettle or steamer (not too close) and gently reshape it with your hands. Allow it to dry fully before wearing.
Storing Your Hat
Use a hat box or dust bag for long-term storage to prevent dust buildup.
If stacking, place tissue paper inside the crown to help maintain its shape.
Additional Tips
Avoid leaving your hat in a hot car—heat can shrink and warp felt.

Troubleshooting for Online Orders & Virtual Appointments
Each Lucky Cowboy hat is made to order, so we cannot offer refunds or exchanges—but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
If your hat feels a little roomy: Each order comes with hat size adjusters (adhesive fillers). Simply tuck them under the sweatband in the spots where you need a closer fit. You can trim and place them in different areas to even out the fit.
If your hat feels snug: A hat stretcher is a great tool to give you a bit more space. If the brim flattens unevenly after stretching, place a cloth over it and press lightly with an iron, then set something with weight on top until it cools and dries.
Using steam for extra stretch: Gentle steam can help soften the felt so it flexes. Hold your hat over a kettle or steamer, then carefully ease it open with your hands or wear it as it cools to mold it to your shape. Pulling slightly at the brim can also help create a touch more room.
